Pin End - tool to define starting line in yacht racing app for iPhone and iPad

"Pin End" helps you to define the starting line in yacht racing. To use it you need a boat with a compass. So easy.

How to use: Sail parallel to starting line - tap "Line" - read the compass. Move white "Line" indicator according to starting line direction. Tap "Wind".

Drive your boat towards the wind. Read Compass. Move yellow "Wind" indicator to the direction of wind. Tap "Lock" in the middle.

"Pin End" shows whether the left (red) or right (green) end of the starting line is favored.

With "Pin End" you don´t have to worry about maths. Application calculates the angle of the starting line comparing to wind direction. After that it is much easier for you to make decision where to start.

On your way to race course you can collect wind direction data to application. Just measure the wind direction and tap "Wind" - "Pin End" shows you the oscillation of the wind.
